Cookie Policy
How SY Comms uses cookies and similar technologies.
This policy explains how SY Comms uses “cookies and similar technologies” to recognise visitors on our website. It covers what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control them. Cookies may collect personal information — or that may become personal information if we combine it with other information.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Website owners use them to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
We distinguish between first party cookies (set by the site owner) and third party cookies (set by other parties). Third-party cookies enable features like advertising and analytics, and those third parties can recognise your computer both when it visits our website and when it visits certain other websites.
Why do we use cookies?
We use both first- and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some are “essential” or “strictly necessary” for the site to operate. Other cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Online Properties. Third parties also serve cookies through the site for advertising, analytics and other purposes. The specific cookies served may vary depending on the specific Online Properties you visit.
How can I control cookies?
You have the right to accept or reject cookies. Preferences can be set in the Cookie Consent Manager, which lets you choose which categories to accept or reject — though essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide you with services.
Rejecting cookies may restrict functionality, but you can also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. Since these controls vary from browser to browser, you should refer to your browser’s help menu for more information.
Where can I get further information?
If you have questions about our use of cookies or other technologies, please email hello@sycomms.co.uk.
